Sphere is excited to announce the acquisition of UK and Commonwealth rights to Seal Team Six by Howard E. Wasdin and Stephen Templin.
Adam Strange, Sphere non-fiction Publishing Director, bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Claire Roberts at Trident Media, who made the sale on behalf of Scott Miller.
The book is Howard's memoir of his time as a soldier with one of the world's toughest and most secretive special operations units, and will be the first look inside the team that undertook last month's mission to capture or kill Osama Bin Laden.
Strange said "Press and public interest in the team that carried out the strike on bin Laden is huge at the moment, and with Little, Brown's past successes in publishing books that take a look at Special Forces units such as Task Force Black and Lone Survivor, we're absolutely the right publisher to bring this book to the UK market. Howard retired from the service in the mid-1990s, but his insights into how the unit operates, told through his own experiences of training and serving as one of ST6's deadliest snipers, are fascinating."
Sphere will be publishing in hardback on 23rd June 2011.
